Creative Futures Brunch at Geekdom: A Successful Event for the Design, Startup, and Tech Communities

San Antonio, TX - Over 100 attendees from the creative professional, designer, startup, and tech communities gathered for the Creative Futures Brunch hosted by The Down Market at Geekdom on April 11.

The event showcased workshops, insightful conversations with speakers, and the highlight of the event, The Down Market Podcast Lab, which was streamed live and can be viewed at this link https://bit.ly/TDMPodcast .

Attendees were treated to cool swag from The Down Market, and a workshop from SA Creatives. The event featured insightful conversations with Bria Woods, Sarah Woolsey, and Hallease, who shared their experiences and knowledge about the creative industry.

Ashley Bird, the founder of Blooming with Birdie and the non-profit Project Bloom, led a creative experience about the journey of the monarch butterfly with The Down Market. "Our goal is to inspire curiosity and compassion for life while supporting Montessori education for all," said Bird.

James Mireles, owner of Pulp Coffee, shared his thoughts on the event: "It was great to see so many people from different industries come together to network and learn from each other. The Down Market did a fantastic job organizing the event."

Ja'el Sundown, Creative Director of The Down Market, expressed her gratitude for the attendees, sponsors, and volunteers: "We want to thank our sponsors, Mary Japhet, Ace Screen Graphics, Pulp Coffee, and Cafecito, for supporting us. The Down Market team consists of Brandon Kimak, Madilyn Hall, Maya Hinedi, Saige Thomas, Alesandra Bell, Annabelle Vasquez, and Ja'el Sundown. Gabriel Garcia of SA Creatives led the workshop and provided valuable insights for the attendees.

The event took place from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and offered various opportunities for attendees to connect and learn from industry leaders.
